The Independent Wood Processors Association of BC

(formerly known as the Independent Lumber Remanufacturers Association)

The Independent Wood Processors Association of BC (formerly known as the Independent Lumber Remanufacturers Association) was formed in 1972 for the purpose of representing family owned non-tenured remanufacturing companies to Government, Industry, and the Public.

For our first 39 years we were known as the Independent Lumber Remanufacturers Association (ILRA), but in recent years we have had a number of family owned sawmills join our ranks. In recognition of the new diversity of wood products manufacturing business that we now represent it was appropriate to rename ourselves the Independent Wood Processors Association of BC (IWPA).
